Sound familiar?

Creator income is real income. The IRS treats it that way too.

A surprise 1099-K

Patreon's payment processor sent the IRS a 1099-K and you've got no records reconciled against it.

Missed creator deductions

That mic, that editing software, that contractor editor — you spent the money but never tracked it.

Quarterly estimate chaos

The IRS expects quarterly payments on self-employment income. You're guessing — or skipping them.

How It Works

From paid pledge to Schedule C in three steps

No spreadsheets. No CSV exports. No guessing which line your Patreon income goes on.

01

Connect Patreon

One click takes you to Patreon where you authorize Vuuv to read your campaign and pledge history. Patreon issues a secure refresh token. No passwords, no screen scraping.

02

Vuuv Imports Pledges

Every paid pledge, refund, and declined payment lands in a pending review queue. Approve, edit, or bulk import. Vuuv splits gross pledge income from Patreon's fees so your books stay clean.

03

File Your Taxes

At year end, one click generates your Schedule C with every dollar of pledge income and every deduction in the right place — plus 1099-NEC forms for contractors you paid and a CPA-ready PDF packet.

Patreon Coverage

Every pledge event, categorized for your taxes

Vuuv handles the full lifecycle of a patron pledge, not just the headline number

Review before import

Every imported Patreon event lands in a pending queue. You decide what gets booked into your accounting records. Vuuv never edits your books without your approval.

Features

Everything Patreon creators need at tax time

Not another creator analytics dashboard. A bookkeeping and tax platform built for the IRS.

Automatic Pledge Import

Paid pledges, refunds, and platform fees pull from Patreon and categorize automatically. No CSV downloads from your creator dashboard.

One-Click Schedule C

Generate your full Schedule C with patron income on Line 1 and every creator expense on the correct IRS line. File it yourself or hand it to your CPA.

1099-NEC Tracking

Pay editors, designers, or VAs? Track them throughout the year. At tax time, generate 1099-NEC forms in IRS FIRE format plus recipient PDFs.

Year-End Tax Packet

One PDF with Schedule C, depreciation schedule, mileage log, balance sheet, and a full audit trail. Ready for your accountant.

Immutable Audit Log

Every transaction, category change, and edit is timestamped and preserved for IRS compliance. If you're ever audited, the paper trail is built.

Multi-Channel Ledger

Run Patreon alongside YouTube AdSense, Twitch, merch sales, sponsorships, your bank, and credit cards. One unified ledger.

iOS, Android, and Web

Snap a receipt for new studio gear from your phone, finish the entry on your laptop. Real-time sync across every device.

Read-Only Patreon Access

Vuuv reads pledge data so it can record income. We can't post on your behalf, message patrons, or change tiers. Disconnect any time.

On-Demand Resync

Trigger a fresh sync any time from the Patreon page inside Vuuv. We also pull the latest pledges automatically when you open the app.

Privacy and Security

Your campaign, your control

Vuuv reads only what's needed to record income. Nothing more.

Read-only access

Vuuv requests identity, campaigns, and member payment history scopes. We cannot post, message patrons, change tiers, or modify your campaign.

Patron data stays minimal

We read what's needed to record pledge income on your books. Patron emails and personal info are never displayed or exported outside your account.

Disconnect and delete

Revoke Vuuv from Patreon at any time, or click Disconnect inside Vuuv to remove all tokens and synced data in one step.

Audited at every step

Every Patreon sync, import, and category edit is timestamped to an immutable audit log so your books hold up under IRS review.

Is Vuuv Right for You?

Who Vuuv is built for

Ideal for

  • US-based creators filing as sole prop, LLC, S-corp, or partnership
  • Patreon creators who also earn on YouTube, Twitch, sponsorships, or merch
  • Creators who hand their books to a CPA at tax time
  • Creators paying contractors (editors, designers) who'll need a 1099-NEC
  • Creators tracking gear, software, home studio, or travel deductions

Not the right fit

  • Creators looking for patron-growth analytics or marketing tools
  • Patrons looking to track their own pledges (this is for creators)
  • Non-US creators needing VAT or GST filing (we are US tax focused)
  • Hobby creators with no profit motive (the IRS treats hobby income differently)
FAQ

Patreon creator questions answered

Is Vuuv made by Patreon?

No. Vuuv is an independent third-party app built by Vuuv Software LLC. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Patreon, Inc. Vuuv uses Patreon's public OAuth API the same way any third-party developer does. Patreon is a trademark of Patreon, Inc., used here only to describe what Vuuv integrates with.

How does Vuuv connect to my Patreon campaign?

Vuuv uses Patreon's official OAuth 2.0. You authorize Vuuv once on Patreon, and Patreon issues a secure refresh token tied to your creator account. We never ask for your Patreon password. You can revoke access at any time from your Patreon account settings under Apps, or click Disconnect inside Vuuv.

What Patreon data does Vuuv access?

Vuuv requests the identity, campaigns, campaigns.members, and campaigns.members.payment_history scopes. That means we can read your campaign metadata, your patron list, and the payment history needed to record income on your books. We do not post on your behalf, change tiers, message patrons, or modify your campaign in any way.

Is Patreon income reported on Schedule C?

For most creators filing as a sole proprietor or single-member LLC, yes — Patreon pledge income is self-employment income reported on Schedule C. Vuuv tracks every paid pledge so the gross goes on Part I, Line 1, and the Patreon platform fee plus processing fees go on Part II as ordinary business expenses. You may also owe self-employment tax (Social Security and Medicare) on the net, which Vuuv calculates for you.

Will I get a 1099-K from Patreon?

Patreon issues a 1099-K through its payment processor when you cross the IRS reporting threshold for the year. Vuuv reconciles your imported pledge history against the 1099-K so you can confirm every dollar Patreon reported to the IRS matches what is on your books before you file.

What expenses can I deduct as a Patreon creator?

Anything ordinary and necessary for producing your work. Common deductions: cameras, microphones, lighting, and other gear; editing software and SaaS subscriptions; payments to contractors like editors, designers, illustrators, or VAs (track those for 1099-NEC); the business-use portion of your home office, internet, and phone; travel for content; courses and books; and merch fulfillment costs. Vuuv categorizes everything to the right Schedule C line as you go.

Does Vuuv replace QuickBooks or a CPA?

Vuuv replaces QuickBooks for most creators. Vuuv imports your Patreon pledges natively, tracks your expenses across web, iOS, and Android, and maps everything to the correct Schedule C line. Vuuv does not replace your CPA. Most creators keep their CPA and hand over the year-end tax packet Vuuv generates at filing time.

How often does Vuuv sync new pledges?

Vuuv pulls the latest pledge events on demand from the Patreon page inside the app, and it automatically syncs when you open the app. A full backfill runs when you first connect. You can trigger a manual sync at any time.
